This website uses my own installation of Matomo, a user analytics tool, to track user interaction with the site. I only use this data to improve the site, getting information about the most-used functionality to guide me in developing the site.
It also displays advertisements served by Google AdSense, which may set cookies and collect browsing data for ad personalisation. See the section below for details.
This website uses Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. AdSense delivers personalised advertisements, may set cookies, and collects information about your browsing behaviour (e.g. pages visited, interests) to display relevant ads.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(a) DSGVO — your consent. Personalised advertising requires your consent; it is not covered by legitimate interest alone.
Data transfer: Data is processed by Google LLC in the USA. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, providing an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 DSGVO).

When you visit this site, your browser transmits technical information that the web server records in standard access logs. This includes:
These logs are used solely for diagnosing technical problems and ensuring the security and availability of the service. They are retained for a maximum of 14 days and are then deleted automatically. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional service).
When you search for events, your query (search terms, filter parameters, map bounding box) is transmitted to the Fitexia API to retrieve matching results. Search queries are not stored, logged, or linked to any individual. They exist only in memory for the duration of the request and are discarded immediately afterwards.
No account or registration is required to search for events. You remain anonymous at all times.

The interactive map on this site is powered by map tiles. Your browser fetches these tiles directly from the tile provider, which may record your IP address as part of standard server logging. Fitexia does not pass any personal data to the tile provider beyond what your browser transmits automatically.
Event location coordinates are resolved using Nominatim (OpenStreetMap). This geocoding runs server-side during data import and does not involve your browser or IP address.
